ESD container - Any container that is designed to dissipate electrostatic discharge via its material composition or configuration.

ESD product - Any product designed to dissipate electrostatic discharge in it's construction or composition.

ESD tote - A tote or bin that is designed to dissipate electrostatic discharge via it's composition materials or configuration.

Electric crane - See Electric Overhead Crane.

Electric overhead crane - A crane with a single or multiple girder (bridge girder) bridge carrying a movable or fixed hoisting mechanism and traveling on an overhead fixed runway structure with all or most movements powered by electric motors.

Electrostatic protection - Protection from static charges.

Electric chain hoist - See Hoist, Electric Hoist, Chain Hoist.

Electric Hoist - A suspended machinery unit that is powered by electrically driven motors and is used to lift or lower a freely suspended (unguided) load. Generally uses chain or wire rope as its lifting medium.

Ergonomic - The design of working conditions to better accommodate the human body's capabilities and limitations (human factors).
Ergonomics is also known as the study of work tasks with an emphasis on reducing to a practical minimum the physiological cost of doing the work.

Euro-pallet - The standard pallet in Europe. It is 1200 mm by 800 mm in dimension and has a wood block design between the top and bottom permitting four-way or four-sided entrance by lifting forks. Although other sizes exist in Europe, they are not nearly as prominent as the Euro-pallet.

Explosion proof - Equipment designed in accordance with existing codes and standards such that it will operate in a specified hazardous environment without causing an explosion. For further information, contact the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).
