Our Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems combine state-of-the-art equipment and controls to handle, store, and retrieve materials with speed, efficiency, precision and accuracy. These systems range from relatively simple, manually-controlled point of use storage structures to computer-controlled storage and retrieval systems that are completely integrated into the manufacturing and distribution process.

An effective AS/RS enables you to recapture floor space, improve efficiency and ensure inventory control. Using the vertical space between the floor and the ceiling, storage is maximized within your facility. By quickly moving loads on three axes–vertically and/or horizontally in the aisle and then laterally to place the load in a storage location–materials are accessed with minimum effort.

We can help you create a fully automated system that delivers increased efficiency and productivity.

Models

Mini Load

A high-speed, high-density buffer, the Mini Load is an ideal replacement for conventional static rack maximizing vertical space for storage within a compact footprint. The Mini Load moves and stores irregularly shaped items or parts contained in stacking totes, nesting containers, collapsible totes or case and cardboard boxes. Items can be transported to and from the mini load by way of conveyor, side belt, side clamp, shuttle fork, sorting transfer vehicle (STV) or automatic guided vehicle (AGV).

A great system for forward pick operations, the Mini Load is also ideal for applications that include the buffering and storage of small raw materials as well as finished goods. It is a good buffering system for small items used for work-in-process. The Mini Load has three crane transfer options, which handle placement and retrieval of loads, whether items are in plastic totes, corrugated paper cases or specialty containers.

MSS II Mini Load

Maximize retrieval time with the MSS II. Ideal for shorter runs, the MSS II is the perfect solution when short-term staging is needed rather than long-term storage. It also handles loads that are in a random state and need to be put in an ordered state, or vice versa.

The MSS II operates with an extractor that moves back and forth on a bean, which in turn moves up and down. An unrivaled system for quick and quiet retrieval.

Specifications

The availability of overhead space in the facility determines rack height. Aisle length and the number of aisles are based on available floor space. Load size and required throughput affects the speed and is considered to determine system configuration of a single or dual shuttle and single or double-deep storage.
